* ARM: OMAP2+: Remove legacy i2c.c platform init codeTony Lindgren2016-11-101-0/+83
| | | | | | | | | | We can now initialize I2C for mach-omap2 using device tree. And we can move the remaining code in plat-omap/i2c.c into mach-omap1/i2c.c. Note that we cannot remove some of the I2C bus reset functions as they are being used by hwmod code. Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>
* ARM: OMAP1: Change interrupt numbering for sparse IRQTony Lindgren2015-05-201-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Change interrupt numbering for sparse IRQ. We do this using a fixed offset until we can drop irqs.h once all it's users have been updated. Note that this depends on the GPIO fix for the MPUIO IRQs "gpio: omap: Fix regression for MPUIO interrupts". Also note that this patch adds some extra irq alloc warnings that will go away when we stop calling irq_alloc_descs in gpio-omap.c with a follow-up patch. * ARM: OMAP: Fix i2c cmdline initcall for multiplatformTony Lindgren2013-01-111-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | We only want this initcall to run when the kernel is booted on omap SoCs. Fix the issue by initializing the the initcall from separately for omap1 and omap2+. This fixes the issue for omap2+ multiplatform configs as we are using omap_subsys_initcall there. * ARM: OMAP: Fix relative includes for shared i2c.h fileTony Lindgren2012-10-311-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As discussed on linux-arm-kernel, we want to avoid relative includes for the arch/arm/*omap* shared code: http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-omap/msg80520.html To fix this for the shared i2c.h, let's re-introduce a minimal plat/i2c.h. Note that drivers must not use this header as it will break build for omap2+ CONFIG_MULTIPLATFORM builds. Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>
* ARM: OMAP: Make plat-omap/i2c.c port checks localTony Lindgren2012-10-311-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The common code should not have any omap1 or omap2+ specific code, and should not need to call the cpu_is_omap macros. The only remaining user for cpu_is_omap macros is omap_i2c_nr_ports(). Let's make those checks in the omap specific implementation of omap_i2c_add_bus() instead in order to remove cpu_is_omap usage from the common code. Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>
* ARM: OMAP: Split plat/cpu.h into local soc.h for mach-omap1 and mach-omap2Tony Lindgren2012-10-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We want to remove plat/cpu.h. To do this, let's first split it to private soc.h to mach-omap1 and mach-omap2. We have to keep plat/cpu.h around until the remaining drivers are fixed, so let's include the local soc.h in plat/cpu.h and for drivers still including plat/cpu.h. Once the drivers are fixed not to include plat/cpu.h, we can remove the file. This is needed for the ARM common zImage support. * ARM: OMAP: Split plat-omap/i2c.c into mach-omap1 and mach-omap2Tony Lindgren2012-10-171-2/+57
| | | | | | | | | | | | | There's no need to keep the device related things in the common i2c.c as omap2+ is using hwmod. Split the code to mach-omap1 and mach-omap2 parts and only leave common code to plat-omap/i2c.c. Note that as omap1 only has one i2c controller, we can now remove the old device related macros. * ARM: OMAP1: Make plat/mux.h omap1 onlyTony Lindgren2012-09-201-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We are moving omap2+ to use the device tree based pinctrl-single.c and will be removing the old mux framework. This will remove the omap1 specific parts from plat-omap. * omap: i2c: Fix muxing for command line enabled busJarkko Nikula2010-02-251-5/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | The commit b63128e81214cc2db2995d690438055c26d213a5 broke the pin muxing for I2C busses that are enabled from the kernel command line. Fix this by defining the board registration function omap_register_i2c_bus in common platform code as it was before but keep the muxing in architecture dependent files. * omap1: I2C mux and clocks for omap7xxCory Maccarrone2009-12-111-2/+8

* omap: Split i2c platform init for mach-omap1 and mach-omap2Tony Lindgren2009-12-111-0/+33
Otherwise we cannot limit new mux code to mach-omap2. The same signal names should eventually work for other omaps under mach-omap2. Note that these pins don't need to be OMAP_PIN_INPUT_PULLUP, just OMAP_PIN_INPUT is enough. Cc: Jarkko Nikula <jhnikula@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>
