They are typically the platform side of a change in the drivers directory, such as adding a new driver or extending the interface to the platform. In cases where there is no maintainer for the driver, or the maintainer prefers to have the platform changes in the same branch as the driver changes, the patches to the drivers are included as well. A much smaller set of driver updates that depend on other branches getting merged first will be sent later. The new export of tegra_chip_uid conflicts with other changes in fuse.c. In rtc-sa1100.c, the global removal of IRQF_DISABLED conflicts with the cleanup of the interrupt handling of that driver. | | |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Both imx23 and imx28 have CHIPID register at address 0x8001c310, which can be used to identify the SoC. This patch changes cpu_is_xxx and __arch_decomp_setup to use this CHIPID register than machine type to detect the chip between imx23 and imx28, so that we do not need to change these functions whenever a new board/machine gets added. * | arm/mxs: fix mmc device adding for mach-mx28evkShawn Guo2011-11-081-2/+2
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | The merge commit "526b264 Merge branch 'imx/cleanup' into imx/devel" left a duplicated mx28_add_mxs_mmc() call, which causes the problem below during boot. kobject_add_internal failed for mxs-mmc.1 with -EEXIST, don't try to register things with the same name in the same directory. The patch removes this leftover and also change mmc0 adding to align with mmc1. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org>
