* ARM: i.MX: Remove Phytec i.MX27 PCM038/PCM970 board filesAlexander Shiyan2014-09-011-358/+0
| | | | | | | | | pcm970-baseboard.c and mach-pcm038.c can be replaced with their devicetree equivalents: imx27-phytec-phycore-rdk.dts and imx27-phytec-phycore-som.dtsi respectively, so remove the board files. * ARM: imx: move EHCI platform defines out of platform_data headerShawn Guo2014-07-181-0/+1
| | | | | | | | The platform_data header usb-ehci-mxc.h has a lot of stuff used by only IMX platform code. They shouldn't be really in this header but a IMX platform local header. Create ehci.h and move these stuff into it. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@freescale.com>

* misc: (at24) move header to linux/platform_data/Vivien Didelot2013-09-301-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch moves the at24.h header from include/linux/i2c to include/linux/platform_data and updates existing support accordingly. It also fixes the following checkpatch warning: WARNING: please, no space before tabs #436: FILE: include/linux/platform_data/at24.h:31: + * ^Iu8 *mac_addr = ethernet_pdata->mac_addr;$ Signed-off-by: Vivien Didelot <vivien.didelot@savoirfairelinux.com> Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
* ARM: delete struct sys_timerStephen Warren2012-12-241-5/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct, and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization function itself. This will enable moving timer drivers into drivers/clocksource without having to place a public prototype of each struct sys_timer object into include/linux; the intent is to create a single of_clocksource_init() function that determines which timer driver to initialize by scanning the device dtree, much like the proposed irqchip_init() at: http://www.spinics.net/lists/arm-kernel/msg203686.html Includes mach-omap2 fixes from Igor Grinberg. * ARM: imx: include hardware.h rather than mach/hardware.hShawn Guo2012-10-151-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | It moves a bunch of header files included in hardware.h and itself from mach-imx/include/mach to mach-imx, and updates users to include hardware.h rather than mach/hardware.h. The files in mach-imx/devices will need to include "../hardware.h". * mmc: mxcmmc: remove cpu_is_xxx by using platform_device_idShawn Guo2012-10-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | It changes the driver to use platform_device_id rather than cpu_is_xxx to determine the controller type, and updates the platform code accordingly. As the result, mach/hardware.h inclusion gets removed from the driver. | | | | | | | | | | | | Rename mach-imx/include/mach/common.h to mach-imx/common.h and update all users to include common.h rather than mach/common.h. | * | arm/imx: remove mx27_setup_weimcs() from mx27.hShawn Guo2011-10-171-1/+3
| |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The helper function mx27_setup_weimcs() references IOMEM() and IMX_IO_P2V() but without required header mach/hardware.h included in mx27.h. This will break the build of those mx27 file with no direct inclusion of mach/hardware.h, or when indirect inclusion to mach/hardware.h breaks. For example, when the inclusion of mach/hardware.h gets removed from mach/gpio.h, we will see the following compile error. CC arch/arm/mach-imx/pm-imx27.o In file included from arch/arm/mach-imx/pm-imx27.c:14:0: arch/arm/plat-mxc/include/mach/mx27.h: In function ‘mx27_setup_weimcs’: arch/arm/plat-mxc/include/mach/mx27.h:138:2: error: implicit declaration of function ‘IOMEM’ arch/arm/plat-mxc/include/mach/mx27.h:138:2: error: implicit declaration of function ‘IMX_IO_P2V’ This patch removes mx27_setup_weimcs() from mx27.h and makes it local to mach-pcm038.c, which is the only user for this helper. * gpio/mxc: Change gpio-mxc into an upstanding gpio driverShawn Guo2011-06-061-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The patch makes necessary changes on gpio-mxc as below to turn it into an upstanding gpio driver. * Add a list to save all mx2 ports references, so that mx2_gpio_irq_handler can walk through all interrupt status registers * Use readl/writel to replace mach-specific accessors __raw_readl/__raw_writel * Change mxc_gpio_init into mxc_gpio_probe function * Move "struct mxc_gpio_port" into gpio-mxc.c, as it needs not to be public at all, and also make some other cleanup on plat-mxc/include/mach/gpio.h at the same time And the patch then migrates mach-imx and mach-mx5 to the updated driver by adding corresponding platform devices. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Most machine files include "devices-imxXX.h" which in turn includes <mach/devices-common.h>. The latter already includes many headers that the machine files don't need to include again. These were found by: $ grep \#include arch/arm/plat-mxc/include/mach/devices-common.h > tmpfile $ git grep -l 'devices-imx' arch/arm | xargs grep -f tmpfile -F (but I kept linux/init.h, linux/kernel.h and linux/platform_device.h) LAKML-Reference: 1298912674-15153-2-git-send-email-u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de Signed-off-by: Uwe Kleine-König <u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>
* mfd: mfd_cell is now implicitly available to mc13xxx driversAndres Salomon2011-03-231-4/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The cell's platform_data is now accessed with a helper function; change clients to use that, and remove the now-unused data_size. Note that mfd-core no longer makes a copy of platform_data, but the mc13xxx-core driver creates the pdata structures on the stack. In order to get around that, the various ARM mach types that set the pdata have been changed to hold the variable in static (global) memory. Also note that __initdata references in aforementioned pdata structs have been dropped. Signed-off-by: Andres Salomon <dilinger@queued.net> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>
* ARM i.MX ehci: do ehci init in board specific functionsSascha Hauer2011-02-111-1/+7
| | | | | | | | | | The mxc-ehci driver calls SoC specific phy initialization right after calling board specific initialization.
