This is dominated largely by the Samsung platforms (s3c, s5p, exynos) and a few of the others moving code out of arch/arm into more appropriate subsystems. The clocksource and irqchip drivers are now abstracted to the point where platforms that are already cleaned up do not need to even specify the driver they use, it can all get configured from the device tree as we do for normal device drivers. The clocksource changes basically touch every single platform in the process. We further clean up the use of platform specific header files here, with the goal of turning more of the platforms over to being "multiplatform" enabled, which implies that they cannot expose their headers to architecture independent code any more. It is expected that no functional changes are part of the cleanup. The overall reduction in total code lines is mostly the result of removing broken and obsolete code." * tag 'cleanup' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (133 commits) ARM: mvebu: correct gated clock documentation ARM: kirkwood: add missing include for nsa310 ARM: exynos: move exynos4210-combiner to drivers/irqchip mfd: db8500-prcmu: update resource passing drivers/db8500-cpufreq: delete dangling include ARM: at91: remove NEOCORE 926 board sunxi: Cleanup the reset code and add meaningful registers defines ARM: S3C24XX: header mach/regs-mem.h local ARM: S3C24XX: header mach/regs-power.h local ARM: S3C24XX: header mach/regs-s3c2412-mem.h local ARM: S3C24XX: Remove plat-s3c24xx directory in arch/arm/ ARM: S3C24XX: transform s3c2443 subirqs into new structure ARM: S3C24XX: modify s3c2443 irq init to initialize all irqs ARM: S3C24XX: move s3c2443 irq code to irq.c ARM: S3C24XX: transform s3c2416 irqs into new structure ARM: S3C24XX: modify s3c2416 irq init to initialize all irqs ARM: S3C24XX: move s3c2416 irq init to common irq code ARM: S3C24XX: Modify s3c_irq_wake to use the hwirq property ARM: S3C24XX: Move irq syscore-ops to irq-pm clocksource: always define CLOCKSOURCE_OF_DECLARE ...

* | ARM: SAMSUNG: Gracefully exit on suspend failureAbhilash Kesavan2013-01-301-2/+4
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As per the Exynos5250 User Manual: When there are pending interrupt events, WFI/WFE instruction are ignored. To cancel the power-down sequence follow these steps: 1) Disable system power-down using CENTRAL_SEQ_CONFIGURATION register 2) Clear WAKEUP_STAT register 3) Enable interrupt service routine for CPU Code for early wakeup for exynos already exists. Remove the panic on suspend failure, clear the wakeup state register and return 1 from cpu_suspend to indicate a failed suspend (to a user daemon). Older Samsung SoCs have similar panics and I have removed them all. Haven't touched the S3C2410 sleep code. | * ARM: EXYNOS: Fix i2c suspend/resume for legacy controllerAbhilash Kesavan2012-11-201-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | On resuming from suspend the i2c configuration register that is part of system controller resets to 0xf. This sets the interrupt source to the new high speed i2c rather than the legacy one that we are using. Save and restore the I2C_CFG register for exynos5 to fix this. | * ARM: EXYNOS: Remove a new bus_type instance for EXYNOS5Thomas Abraham2012-05-161-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A seperate bus_type instance is not required for EXYNOS5. The existing bus_type instance used with EXYNOS4 is sufficient for both EXYNOS4 and EXYNOS5. This also solves issue of uninitialized usage of exynos4_subsys in EXYNOS4 power management code that is reused for EXYNOS5 also. In addition to that, the existing exynos4_subsys bus_type is renamed to exynos_subsys to indicate that it is reused on both EXYNOS4 and EXYNOS5 platforms. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Following the merge of CPU PM notifiers and L2 resume code, this patch removes useless code to save and restore L2 registers. This is now automatically covered by suspend calls which integrated CPU PM notifiers and new sleep code that allows to resume L2 before MMU is turned on. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The exynos4_scu_enable() is a duplication of scu_enable(). Since commit '26a527e ARM: 7100/1: smp_scu: remove __init annotation from scu_enable()' makes scu_enable() available for non-init codes, exynos can directly call scu_enable() and save exynos4_scu_enable() now. * ARM: EXYNOS: Add ARCH_EXYNOS and reorganize arch/arm/mach-exynosKukjin Kim2011-11-061-0/+428
The arch/arm/mach-exynos4 directory (CONFIG_ARCH_EXYNOS4) has made for plaforms based on EXYNOS4 SoCs. But since upcoming Samsung's SoCs such as EXYNOS5 (ARM Cortex A15) can reuse most codes in current mach-exynos4, one mach-exynos directory will be used for them. This patch changes to CONFIG_ARCH_EXYNOS (arch/arm/mach-exynos) but keeps original CONFIG_ARCH_EXYNOS4 in mach-exynos/Kconfig to avoid changing in driver side.
