* [PATCH] getting rid of all casts of k[cmz]alloc() callsRobert P. J. Day2006-12-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Run this: #!/bin/sh for f in $(grep -Erl "\([^\)]*\) *k[cmz]alloc" *) ; do echo "De-casting $f..." perl -pi -e "s/ ?= ?\([^\)]*\) *(k[cmz]alloc) *\(/ = \1\(/" $f done And then go through and reinstate those cases where code is casting pointers to non-pointers. And then drop a few hunks which conflicted with outstanding work. * [ARM] Convert apm.c to use mutexes instead of semaphoresRussell King2006-11-301-14/+14
| | | | | | More semaphore-as-mutex to mutex conversions. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Fix "apm -s" command hangRussell King2006-11-301-1/+8
| | | | | | | Fix an apparant hang with the "apm -s" command. We omitted to wake up this process once resume had completed. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] Improve reliability of APM-emulation suspendRussell King2006-11-301-55/+123
| | | | | | | | | The APM emulation can sometimes cause suspend to fail to work due to apparantly waiting for some process to acknowledge an event when it actually has already done so. We re-jig the event handling to work around this behaviour. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [ARM] kthread: switch arch/arm/kernel/apm.cSerge E. Hallyn2006-09-271-20/+13
| | | | | | | | Switch arch/arm/kernel/apm.c from using kernel_thread - whose export is deprecated - to kthread. Signed-off-by: Serge E. Hallyn <serue@us.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* Remove obsolete #include <linux/config.h>Jörn Engel2006-06-301-1/+0
| | | | | Signed-off-by: Jörn Engel <joern@wohnheim.fh-wedel.de> Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de>
* [ARM] Convert kmalloc+memset to kzallocRussell King2006-03-211-3/+1
| | | | | | Convert all uses of kmalloc followed by memset to use kzalloc instead. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] capable/capability.h (arch/)Randy Dunlap2006-01-111-0/+1
| | | | | | | | arch: Use <linux/capability.h> where capable() is used. Signed-off-by: Randy Dunlap <rdunlap@xenotime.net> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
* [ARM] 3229/1: Remove uneeded ARM apm dependency on PM_LEGACYRichard Purdie2006-01-051-12/+7
| | | | | | | | | | Patch from Richard Purdie ARM doesn't use ACPI so ARM's apm implementation has no need to depend on PM_LEGACY. This patch removes that dependency. Signed-off-by: Richard Purdie <rpurdie@rpsys.net> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
* [PATCH] move pm_register/etc. to CONFIG_PM_LEGACY, pm_legacy.hJeff Garzik2005-11-131-0/+1
| | | | | | | | Since few people need the support anymore, this moves the legacy pm_xxx functions to CONFIG_PM_LEGACY, and include/linux/pm_legacy.h. Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
