* ARM: multi_v7_defconfig: Select USB chipidea driverFabio Estevam2013-07-231-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | CONFIG_USB_EHCI_MXC selects the old i.mx USB driver, which does not support device tree. Select the USB chipidea driver instead, so that USB can be functional on i.mx. Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net>

| | | | | | | | | | | By adding support for OCP2SCP, SPI and KS8851 I can also boot test multi_v7_defconfig easily. Note that if using an older u-boot, CONFIG_ARM_ATAG_DTB_COMPAT=y may also be needed for the appended DTB based booting. * arm: multi_v7_defconfig: Tweaks for omap and sunxiOlof Johansson2013-07-121-3/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | OMAP recently changed how the platforms are configured, so OMAP2/3/4 SoC support is no longer enabled by default. Add them back. Enable new ethernet driver for sunxi. The i.MX console options moved due to resorting, no functional change. Signed-off-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net>
* arm: multi_v7_defconfig: add i.MX options and NFS rootVincent Stehlé2013-07-121-0/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Add i.MX serial console support. This gives us the boot messages on UART on e.g. the i.MX6Q sabre sd platform. - Add the necessary config options, to allow booting with NFS root on an i.MX6 sabre sd. - Add Freescale LPUART serial console support. This gives us the boot messages on UART on e.g. the Vybrid VF610 Tower board. * ARM: Make multi_v7_defconfig usable on hardwareOlof Johansson2013-07-021-28/+93
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This updates multi_v7_defconfig to boot on at least Tegra2 Seaboard and Panda ES. I lack working hardware for most of the platforms that were enabled to compare with, so I could only verify those two for now. Still, I enabled all of the available ones for build coverage purposes. Beyond base platforms, things like PRINTK_TIME, filesystems, MMC, USB, INET and UNIX networking was enabled. I'm sure we'll keep adding more over time, but this gets us off the ground for semi-regular boot testing. Since the shmobile platform still uses board files for some of the newer machines, we get a few changes there as the result of drivers getting enabled for those boards. This causes some conflicts with contents getting added from multiple branches in sh-mobile specific files. Renesas is putting a lot of work into migrating to device-tree based setup, which will make all those files obsolete in the future and avoid both the conflicts and the need to have these files in the first place." * tag 'boards-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (49 commits) arm: multi_v7_defconfig: Enable initrd/initramfs support arm: multi_v7_defconfig: Enable Zynq UART driver ARM: omap2plus_defconfig: enable USB_PHY and NOP_USB_XCEIV ARM: OMAP1: nokia770: enable Tahvo ARM: OMAP3EVM: Marking omap3_evm_display_init() with CONFIG_BROKEN arm: omap: board-overo: reset GPIO for SMSC911x ARM: shmobile: BOCK-W: change Ether device name ARM: ux500: board-mop500: remove unused pin modes ARM: shmobile: bockw: add MMCIF support ARM: shmobile: bockw: add SPI FLASH support ARM: shmobile: bockw: add I2C device support ARM: shmobile: BOCK-W: add Ether support ARM: tegra: defconfig updates ARM: shmobile: bockw defconfig: add MMCIF support ARM: shmobile: bockw defconfig: add M25P80 support ARM: shmobile: bockw defconfig: add RTC RX8581 support ARM: shmobile: marzen: keep local function as static ARM: shmobile: bockw: add SDHI0 support ARM: shmobile: marzen: Use INTC External IRQ pin driver for SMSC ARM: shmobile: lager: support GPIO switches ...

* ARM: add v7 multi-platform defconfigRob Herring2012-09-291-0/+57
Add a v7 defconfig enabling highbank, socfpga, mvebu, and vexpress platforms and their drivers. Most other options are left to the default. The existing individual platform defconfigs are kept for now as they are a bit different. In some cases, the choices look pretty arbitrary and just copied from other defconfigs.
