We need full dynticks CPU to also be RCU nocb so
that we don't have to keep the tick to handle RCU
callbacks.
Make sure the range passed to nohz_full= boot
parameter is a subset of rcu_nocbs=
The CPUs that fail to meet this requirement will be
excluded from the nohz_full range. This is checked
early in boot time, before any CPU has the opportunity
to stop its tick.

The timekeeping job must be able to run early on boot
because there may be some pre-SMP (and thus pre-initcalls )
components that rely on it. The IO-APIC is one such users
as it tests the timer health by watching jiffies progression.
Given that it happens before we know the initial online
set, we can't rely on it to select a timekeeper. We need
one before SMP time otherwise we simply crash on boot.
To fix this and keep things simple for now, force the boot CPU
outside of the full dynticks range in any case and do this early
on kernel parameter parsing time.
We might want a trickier solution later, expecially for aSMP
architectures that need to assign housekeeping tasks to arbitrary
low power CPUs.
But it's still first pass KISS time for now.

"Extended nohz" was used as a naming base for the full dynticks
API and Kconfig symbols. It reflects the fact the system tries
to stop the tick in more places than just idle.
But that "extended" name is a bit opaque and vague. Rename it to
"full" makes it clearer what the system tries to do under this
config: try to shutdown the tick anytime it can. The various
constraints that prevent that to happen shouldn't be considered
as fundamental properties of this feature but rather technical
issues that may be solved in the future.

We are planning to convert the dynticks Kconfig options layout
into a choice menu. The user must be able to easily pick
any of the following implementations: constant periodic tick,
idle dynticks, full dynticks.
As this implies a mutual exclusion, the two dynticks implementions
need to converge on the selection of a common Kconfig option in order
to ease the sharing of a common infrastructure.
It would thus seem pretty natural to reuse CONFIG_NO_HZ to
that end. It already implements all the idle dynticks code
and the full dynticks depends on all that code for now.
So ideally the choice menu would propose CONFIG_NO_HZ_IDLE and
CONFIG_NO_HZ_EXTENDED then both would select CONFIG_NO_HZ.
On the other hand we want to stay backward compatible: if
CONFIG_NO_HZ is set in an older config file, we want to
enable CONFIG_NO_HZ_IDLE by default.
But we can't afford both at the same time or we run into
a circular dependency:
1) CONFIG_NO_HZ_IDLE and CONFIG_NO_HZ_EXTENDED both select
CONFIG_NO_HZ
2) If CONFIG_NO_HZ is set, we default to CONFIG_NO_HZ_IDLE
We might be able to support that from Kconfig/Kbuild but it
may not be wise to introduce such a confusing behaviour.
So to solve this, create a new CONFIG_NO_HZ_COMMON option
which gathers the common code between idle and full dynticks
(that common code for now is simply the idle dynticks code)
and select it from their referring Kconfig.
Then we'll later create CONFIG_NO_HZ_IDLE and map CONFIG_NO_HZ
to it for backward compatibility.

For extreme usecases such as Real Time or HPC, having
the ability to shutdown the tick when a single task runs
on a CPU is a desired feature:
* Reducing the amount of interrupts improves throughput
for CPU-bound tasks. The CPU is less distracted from its
real job, from an execution time and from the cache point
of views.
* This also improve latency response as we have less critical
sections.
Start with introducing a very simple interface to define
full dynticks CPU: use a boot time option defined cpumask
through the "nohz_extended=" kernel parameter. CPUs that
are part of this range will have their tick shutdown
whenever possible: provided they run a single task and
they don't do kernel activity that require the periodic
tick. These details will be later documented in
Documentation/*
An online CPU must be kept outside this range to handle the
timekeeping.

Meta core internal interrupts (from HWSTATMETA and friends) are vectored
onto the TR1 core trigger for the current thread. This is demultiplexed
in irq-metag.c to individual Linux IRQs for each internal interrupt.
External SoC interrupts (from HWSTATEXT and friends) are vectored onto
the TR2 core trigger for the current thread. This is demultiplexed in
irq-metag-ext.c to individual Linux IRQs for each external SoC interrupt.
The external irqchip has devicetree bindings for configuring the number
of irq banks and the type of masking available.

Add support for watchdog drivers to initialize/set the timeout field
of the watchdog_device structure. The timeout field is initialised
either with the module timeout parameter value (if valid) or with the
timeout-sec dt property (if valid). If both are invalid the initial
value is unchanged.

"Arnd's patch moves the dw_dmac to use generic DMA binding. I agreed
to merge this late as it will avoid the conflicts between trees.
The second patch from Matt adding a dma_request_slave_channel_compat
API was supposed to be picked up, but somehow never got picked up.

The original device tree binding for this driver, from Viresh Kumar
unfortunately conflicted with the generic DMA binding, and did not allow
to completely seperate slave device configuration from the controller.
This is an attempt to replace it with an implementation of the generic
binding, but it is currently completely untested, because I do not have
any hardware with this particular controller.
The patch applies on top of the slave-dma tree, which contains both the base
support for the generic DMA binding, as well as the earlier attempt from
Viresh. Both of these are currently not merged upstream however.
This version incorporates feedback from Viresh Kumar, Andy Shevchenko
and Russell King.

Currently cfi_cmdset_0002.c does not support PPB locking of sectors. This
patch adds support for this locking/unlocking mechanism. It is needed on
some platforms, since newer U-Boot versions do support this PPB locking
and protect for example their environment sector(s) this way.
This PPB locking/unlocking will be enabled for all devices supported by
cfi_cmdset_0002 reporting 8 in the CFI word 0x49 (Sector Protect/Unprotect
scheme).
Please note that PPB locking does support sector-by-sector locking. But
the whole chip can only be unlocked together. So unlocking one sector
will automatically unlock all sectors of this device. Because of this
chip limitation, the PPB unlocking function saves the current locking
status of all sectors before unlocking the whole device. After unlocking
the saved locking status is re-configured. This way only the addressed
sectors will be unlocked.
To selectively enable this advanced sector protection mechanism, the
device-tree property "use-advanced-sector-protection" has been created.
To enable support for this locking this property needs to be present in the
flash DT node. E.g.:

A cache policy that uses a multiqueue ordered by recent hit
count to select which blocks should be promoted and demoted.
This is meant to be a general purpose policy. It prioritises
reads over writes.

Add a target that allows a fast device such as an SSD to be used as a
cache for a slower device such as a disk.
A plug-in architecture was chosen so that the decisions about which data
to migrate and when are delegated to interchangeable tunable policy
modules. The first general purpose module we have developed, called
"mq" (multiqueue), follows in the next patch. Other modules are
under development.

This patch does a few things.
1) Makes /sys/bus/fcoe/ctlr_{create,destroy} interfaces.
These interfaces take an <ifname> and will either
create an FCoE Controller or destroy an FCoE
Controller depending on which file is written to.
The new FCoE Controller will start in a DISABLED
state and will not do discovery or login until it
is ENABLED. This pause will allow us to configure
the FCoE Controller before enabling it.
2) Makes the 'mode' attribute of a fcoe_ctlr_device
writale. This allows the user to configure the mode
in which the FCoE Controller will start in when it
is ENABLED.
Possible modes are 'Fabric', or 'VN2VN'.
The default mode for a fcoe_ctlr{,_device} is 'Fabric'.
Drivers must implement the set_fcoe_ctlr_mode routine
to support this feature.
libfcoe offers an exported routine to set a FCoE
Controller's mode. The mode can only be changed
when the FCoE Controller is DISABLED.
This patch also removes the get_fcoe_ctlr_mode pointer
in the fcoe_sysfs function template, the code in
fcoe_ctlr.c to get the mode and the assignment of
the fcoe_sysfs function pointer to the fcoe_ctlr.c
implementation (in fcoe and bnx2fc). fcoe_sysfs can
return that value for the mode without consulting the
LLD.
3) Make a 'enabled' attribute of a fcoe_ctlr_device. On a
read, fcoe_sysfs will return the attribute's value. On
a write, fcoe_sysfs will call the LLD (if there is a
callback) to notifiy that the enalbed state has changed.
This patch maintains the old FCoE control interfaces as
module parameters, but it adds comments pointing out that
the old interfaces are deprecated.

Don Morris reproduced on a HP z620 workstation, and bisected it to
commit e8d195525809 ("acpi, memory-hotplug: parse SRAT before memblock
is ready")
It turns out movable_map has some problems, and it breaks several things
1. numa_init is called several times, NOT just for srat. so those
nodes_clear(numa_nodes_parsed)
memset(&numa_meminfo, 0, sizeof(numa_meminfo))
can not be just removed. Need to consider sequence is: numaq, srat, amd, dummy.
and make fall back path working.
2. simply split acpi_numa_init to early_parse_srat.
a. that early_parse_srat is NOT called for ia64, so you break ia64.
b. for (i = 0; i < MAX_LOCAL_APIC; i++)
set_apicid_to_node(i, NUMA_NO_NODE)
still left in numa_init. So it will just clear result from early_parse_srat.
it should be moved before that....
c. it breaks ACPI_TABLE_OVERIDE...as the acpi table scan is moved
early before override from INITRD is settled.
3. that patch TITLE is total misleading, there is NO x86 in the title,
but it changes critical x86 code. It caused x86 guys did not
pay attention to find the problem early. Those patches really should
be routed via tip/x86/mm.
4. after that commit, following range can not use movable ram:
a. real_mode code.... well..funny, legacy Node0 [0,1M) could be hot-removed?
b. initrd... it will be freed after booting, so it could be on movable...
c. crashkernel for kdump...: looks like we can not put kdump kernel above 4G
anymore.
d. init_mem_mapping: can not put page table high anymore.
e. initmem_init: vmemmap can not be high local node anymore. That is
not good.
If node is hotplugable, the mem related range like page table and
vmemmap could be on the that node without problem and should be on that
node.
We have workaround patch that could fix some problems, but some can not
be fixed.
So just remove that offending commit and related ones including:

Pull MIPS updates from Ralf Baechle:
o Add basic support for the Mediatek/Ralink Wireless SoC family.
o The Qualcomm Atheros platform is extended by support for the new
QCA955X SoC series as well as a bunch of patches that get the code
ready for OF support.
o Lantiq and BCM47XX platform have a few improvements and bug fixes.
o MIPS has sent a few patches that get the kernel ready for the
upcoming microMIPS support.
o The rest of the series is made up of small bug fixes and cleanups
that relate to various parts of the MIPS code. The biggy in there is
a whitespace cleanup. After I was sent another set of whitespace
cleanup patches I decided it was the time to clean the whitespace
"issues" for once and and that touches many files below arch/mips/.
Fix up silly conflicts, mostly due to whitespace cleanups.

Pull ARM SoC mvebu platform changes from Olof Johansson:
"This series contains changes for the Marvell EBU platforms (mvebu,
orion, kirkwood, dove) that were not part of the first set of pull
requests because of dependencies on the MMC tree, and being submitted
a little late.
Notable changes are:
- More devices get moved out of board files into device tree
descriptions. The remaining devices listed in there have patches
that will get sent for 3.10, after which we can remove a lot of the
board files entirely. We are doing the pinctrl and mmc drivers
here, ethernet and PCI still remain.
- SMP support for mvebu is improved with support for the local
interrupt controller.
- The Guruplug board file gets replaced with a DT description.
Unfortunately, the dependency on the MMC tree turned out to be a much
larger problem than expected, when the MMC maintainer rebased the
patches in his tree that all of the patches in this branch are based
on, which caused merge conflicts between the new and old versions of
those patches.
To work around the merge conflicts, this branch rebases all patches on
top of the respective MMC patches that did get merged into 3.9. The
patches are all identical to the versions that were part of
linux-next, but have a new commit date."

Pull ARM SoC i.MX DT changes from Olof Johansson:
"This branch contains of devicetree changes for the Freescale i.MX
platform.
The base patch of the branch changes the format of the dts files to a
slightly different format that makes it easier to do derivative board
definitions, but it also introduces a lot of churn in the process
since every line of the file is touched.
On top of that are a handful of the regular changes; enabling more
boards as DT-based instead of legacy board files (mx25pdk), enabling
another driver for devicetree and thus adding bindings (onewire), etc.
I'm not happy about the churn, and will likely not take it for other
platforms in the future."

This mxs usbphy is only needs to be on after system boots
up, and software never needs to control it anymore.
Meanwhile, usbphy's parent needs to be notified if usb
is suspend or not. So we design below mxs usbphy usage:
- usbphy1_gate and usbphy2_gate:
Their parents are dummy clock, we only needs to enable
it after system boots up.
- usbphy1 and usbphy2
Usage reserved bit for this clock, in that case, the refcount
will be updated, but without hardware changing.
