Pull MFS updates from Samuel Ortiz:
"This is the MFD pull request for the 3.9 merge window.
No new drivers this time, but a bunch of fairly big cleanups:
- Roger Quadros worked on a OMAP USBHS and TLL platform data
consolidation, OMAP5 support and clock management code cleanup.
- The first step of a major sync for the ab8500 driver from Lee
Jones. In particular, the debugfs and the sysct interfaces got
extended and improved.
- Peter Ujfalusi sent a nice patchset for cleaning and fixing the
twl-core driver, with a much needed module id lookup code
improvement.
- The regular wm5102 and arizona cleanups and fixes from Mark Brown.
- Laxman Dewangan extended the palmas APIs in order to implement the
palmas GPIO and rt drivers.
- Laxman also added DT support for the tps65090 driver.
- The Intel SCH and ICH drivers got a couple fixes from Aaron Sierra
and Darren Hart.
- Linus Walleij patchset for the ab8500 driver allowed ab8500 and
ab9540 based devices to switch to the new abx500 pin-ctrl driver.
- The max8925 now has device tree and irqdomain support thanks to
Qing Xu.
- The recently added rtsx driver got a few cleanups and fixes for a
better card detection code path and now also supports the RTS5227
chipset, thanks to Wei Wang and Roger Tseng."

This patch adds device tree parsing for gpio_ir_recv platform_data and
the mandatory binding documentation. It basically follows what we already
have for e.g. gpio_keys. All required device tree properties are OS
independent but an optional property allows linux specific support for rc
maps.

This patch adds new capture board Hawell HW-9004V1. This card has 4 SAA71300 chips. In order to work it is needed to initialize its registers (gpio mask and value). The value of these registers were dumped under Windows using flytest.

The documentation suggested that if the control value is wrong only
ERANGE can be returned. But in some cases (an invalid menu index)
EINVAL can also be returned. Clarify this.

The struct v4l2_capability card field stores the device name. That name
can be hardcoded in drivers, or be retrieved directly from the device.
The later is very common with USB devices. As several devices already
report names that include non-ASCII characters, update the field
description to use UTF-8.

This patch adds a helper function that allows to modify range,
i.e. minimum, maximum, step and default value of a v4l2 control,
after the control has been created and initialized. This is helpful
in situations when range of a control depends on user configurable
parameters, e.g. camera sensor absolute exposure time depending on
an output image resolution and frame rate.
v4l2_ctrl_modify_range() function allows to modify range of an
INTEGER, BOOL, MENU, INTEGER_MENU and BITMASK type controls.

The DVBv3 statistics parameters are limited on several ways:
- It doesn't provide any way to indicate the used measure,
so userspace need to guess how to calculate/use it;
- Only a limited set of stats are supported;
- Can't be called in a way to require them to be filled
all at once (atomic reads from the hardware), with may
cause troubles on interpreting them on userspace;
- On some OFDM delivery systems, the carriers can be
independently modulated, having different properties.
Currently, there's no way to report per-layer stats.
To address the above issues, adding a new DVBv5-based stats API.
While here, correct inner code nomenclature on a few places.

It has been over 3 years since the V4L2_CID_[HV]CENTER were deprecated.
Clean up the DocBook and remove the V4L2_CID_VCENTER_DEPRECATED,
V4L2_CID_VCENTER_DEPRECATED control related paragraphs.
Remove the V4L2_CID_[HV]CENTER controls definitions from v4l2-controls.h,
these controls are not used by any driver in the mainline now.

Define video buffer flags for different timestamp types. Everything up to
now have used either realtime clock or monotonic clock, without a way to
tell which clock the timestamp was taken from.
Also document that the clock source of the timestamp in the timestamp field
depends on buffer flags.

V4L2_MBUS_FMT_YDYUYDYV8_1X16 and V4L2_MBUS_FMT_UV8_1X8 are used
internal to the hardware by the resizer.
V4L2_MBUS_FMT_SBGGR10_ALAW8_1X8 represents the bayer ALAW format
that is supported by dm365 hardware.

As Xiao pointed out, there are a few problems with it:
- kvm_arch_commit_memory_region() write protects the memory slot only
for GET_DIRTY_LOG when modifying the flags.
- FNAME(sync_page) uses the old spte value to set a new one without
checking KVM_MEM_READONLY flag.
Since we flush all shadow pages when creating a new slot, the simplest
fix is to disallow such problematic flag changes: this is safe because
no one is doing such things.

The External Proxy Facility in FSL BookE chips allows the interrupt
controller to automatically acknowledge an interrupt as soon as a
core gets its pending external interrupt delivered.
Today, user space implements the interrupt controller, so we need to
check on it during such a cycle.
This patch implements logic for user space to enable EPR exiting,
disable EPR exiting and EPR exiting itself, so that user space can
acknowledge an interrupt when an external interrupt has successfully
been delivered into the guest vcpu.

Add a new capability, KVM_CAP_S390_CSS_SUPPORT, which will pass
intercepts for channel I/O instructions to userspace. Only I/O
instructions interacting with I/O interrupts need to be handled
in-kernel:
- TEST PENDING INTERRUPTION (tpi) dequeues and stores pending
interrupts entirely in-kernel.
- TEST SUBCHANNEL (tsch) dequeues pending interrupts in-kernel
and exits via KVM_EXIT_S390_TSCH to userspace for subchannel-
related processing.

conditions for now).
This is a bit more involved than I/O interrupts, for these reasons:
- Machine checks come in both floating and cpu varieties.
- We don't have a bit for machine checks enabling, but have to use
a roundabout approach with trapping PSW changing instructions and

Add support for handling I/O interrupts (standard, subchannel-related
ones and rudimentary adapter interrupts).
The subchannel-identifying parameters are encoded into the interrupt
type.
I/O interrupts are floating, so they can't be injected on a specific
vcpu.

Here's a KSM series, based on mmotm 2013-01-23-17-04: starting with
Petr's v7 "KSM: numa awareness sysfs knob"; then fixing the two issues
we had with that, fully enabling KSM page migration on the way.
(A different kind of KSM/NUMA issue which I've certainly not begun to
address here: when KSM pages are unmerged, there's usually no sense in
preferring to allocate the new pages local to the caller's node.)
This patch:
Introduces new sysfs boolean knob /sys/kernel/mm/ksm/merge_across_nodes
which control merging pages across different numa nodes. When it is set
to zero only pages from the same node are merged, otherwise pages from
all nodes can be merged together (default behavior).
Typical use-case could be a lot of KVM guests on NUMA machine and cpus
from more distant nodes would have significant increase of access
latency to the merged ksm page. Sysfs knob was choosen for higher
variability when some users still prefers higher amount of saved
physical memory regardless of access latency.
Every numa node has its own stable & unstable trees because of faster
searching and inserting. Changing of merge_across_nodes value is
possible only when there are not any ksm shared pages in system.
I've tested this patch on numa machines with 2, 4 and 8 nodes and
measured speed of memory access inside of KVM guests with memory pinned
to one of nodes with this benchmark:

Hugh notes that this patch brings two problems, whose solution needs
further support in mm/ksm.c, which follows in subsequent patches:
1) switching merge_across_nodes after running KSM is liable to oops
on stale nodes still left over from the previous stable tree;
2) memory hotremove may migrate KSM pages, but there is no provision
here for !merge_across_nodes to migrate nodes to the proper tree.

So user just specify movablemem_map=acpi, and the kernel will use
hotpluggable info in SRAT to determine which memory ranges should be set
as ZONE_MOVABLE.
If all the memory ranges in SRAT is hotpluggable, then no memory can be
used by kernel. But before parsing SRAT, memblock has already reserve
some memory ranges for other purposes, such as for kernel image, and so
on. We cannot prevent kernel from using these memory. So we need to
exclude these ranges even if these memory is hotpluggable.
Furthermore, there could be several memory ranges in the single node
which the kernel resides in. We may skip one range that have memory
reserved by memblock, but if the rest of memory is too small, then the
kernel will fail to boot. So, make the whole node which the kernel
resides in un-hotpluggable. Then the kernel has enough memory to use.
NOTE: Using this way will cause NUMA performance down because the
whole node will be set as ZONE_MOVABLE, and kernel cannot use memory
on it. If users don't want to lose NUMA performance, just don't use
it.
