| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add the support for VGA-switcheroo in the HD-audio controller side. When the graphics controller is disabled, the HD-audio driver also delays the initialization until it's activated by VGA-switcheroo. | * ALSA: hda - Check the dead HDMI audio controller by vga-switcherooTakashi Iwai2012-05-141-2/+52
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When a discrete-GPU is disabled by the VGA switcheroo, the corresponding HD-audio controller for HDMI output is also disabled. Such a dead controller still appears in the PCI device list, but you can't access properly any longer (even calling pci_read_config_*() triggers Oops!) which leads the stall of the whole communication of the driver. This patch adds a check of graphics controller at the probe time to see whether it's disabled by vga-switcheroo. If disabled, skip the whole initialization of this controller. However that trickery doesn't sit well if you have the legacy "-traditional" flag enabled. You'll get: AS arch/cris/arch-v10/lib/checksum.o In file included from <command-line>:4:0: include/linux/kconfig.h:23:0: error: syntax error in macro parameter list make[2]: *** [arch/cris/arch-v10/lib/checksum.o] Error 1 Everything builds fine w/o "-traditional" so simply drop it from this location as well. We repair this by inserting a stub which elegantly returns when CONFIG_OF is not set. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now there are irqdomains in place for Snowball, we can request GPIO IRQs directly by their binding. Let's add a flag to perform the optimization only when a real interrupt is signaled by the host driver and we know there is no point confirming it.
