Make pm_op() and pm_noirq_op() use the same helper function for
running callbacks, which will cause them to use the same format of
diagnostic messages. This also reduces the complexity and size of
the code quite a bit.

The hibernation test modes 'test' and 'testproc' are deprecated, because
the 'pm_test' framework offers much more fine-grained control for debugging
suspend and hibernation related problems.
So, remove the deprecated 'test' and 'testproc' hibernation test modes.

Commit 2aede851ddf08666f68ffc17be446420e9d2a056 (PM / Hibernate: Freeze
kernel threads after preallocating memory) moved the freezing of kernel
threads to hibernation_snapshot() function.
So now, if the call to hibernation_snapshot() returns early due to a
successful hibernation test, the caller has to thaw processes to ensure
that the system gets back to its original state.
But in SNAPSHOT_CREATE_IMAGE hibernation ioctl, the caller does not thaw
processes in case hibernation_snapshot() returned due to a successful
freezer test. Fix this issue. But note we still send the value of 'in_suspend'
(which is now 0) to userspace, because we are not in an error path per-se,
and moreover, the value of in_suspend correctly depicts the situation here.

are not enabled (which had been disabled in the previous step). Fix it.

The lock_system_sleep() function is used in the memory hotplug code at
several places in order to implement mutual exclusion with hibernation.
However, this function tries to acquire the 'pm_mutex' lock using
mutex_lock() and hence blocks in TASK_UNINTERRUPTIBLE state if it doesn't
get the lock. This would lead to task freezing failures and hence
hibernation failure as a consequence, even though the hibernation call path
successfully acquired the lock.
But it is to be noted that, since this task tries to acquire pm_mutex, if it
blocks due to this, we are *100% sure* that this task is not going to run
as long as hibernation sequence is in progress, since hibernation releases
'pm_mutex' only at the very end, when everything is done.
And this means, this task is going to be anyway blocked for much more longer
than what the freezer intends to achieve; which means, freezing and thawing
doesn't really make any difference to this task!
So, to fix freezing failures, we just ask the freezer to skip freezing this
task, since it is already "frozen enough".
But instead of calling freezer_do_not_count() and freezer_count() as it is,
we use only the relevant parts of those functions, because restrictions
such as 'the task should be a userspace one' etc., might not be relevant in
this scenario.

Lack of proper indentation of the goto statement decreases the readability
of code significantly. In fact, this made me look twice at the code to check
whether it really does what it should be doing. Fix this.
And in the same file, there are some extra whitespaces. Get rid of them too.

The hibernation core code forgets to release memory preallocated
for hibernation if there's an error in its early stages or if test
modes causing hibernation_snapshot() to return early are used. This
causes the system to be hardly usable, because the amount of
preallocated memory is usually huge. Fix this problem.

Let's say we have "OUTPUT_DIR = build/${TEST_NAME}", and we're iterating
a test. In the second iteration of a test, the TEST_NAME of the test
we're repeating is not used. Instead, ${TEST_NAME} appears literally:
touch /home/rabin/kernel/test/build/${TEST_NAME}/.config ... SUCCESS
Fix this by making __eval_option() check the parent test options
for a repeated test.

10-bit addresses overlap with traditional 7-bit addresses, leading in
device name collisions. Add an arbitrary offset to 10-bit addresses to
prevent this collision. The offset was chosen so that the address is
still easily recognizable.

There is a potential integer overflow in drm_mode_dirtyfb_ioctl()
if userspace passes in a large num_clips. The call to kmalloc would
allocate a small buffer, and the call to fb->funcs->dirty may result
in a memory corruption.

Split the quirks and i2c_rec assignment into separate
functions used by both radeon_lookup_i2c_gpio() and
radeon_atombios_i2c_init(). This avoids duplicating code
and cases where quirks were only added to one of the
functions.

The hw doesn't actually require a mask, so just set it

When the brightness property is inquired while the backlight is disabled,
the driver returns a wrong value (zero) because it probes the value after
the backlight was turned off. This caused a black screen even after the
backlight is enabled again. It should return the internal backlight_level
instead, so that it won't be influenced by the backlight-enable state.

The BIOS VBT value for an eDP panel has been shown to be incorrect on
one machine, and we haven't found any machines where the DPCD value
was wrong, so we'll use the DPCD value everywhere.

Limit the link training setting command to the lanes needed for the
current mode. It seems vaguely possible that a monitor will try to
train the other lanes and fail in some way, so this seems like the
safer plan.

Instead of going through the sequence just once, run through the whole
set up to 5 times to see if something can work. This isn't part of the
DP spec, but the BIOS seems to do it, and given that link training
failure is so bad, it seems reasonable to follow suit.

The panel power sequencing hardware tracks the stages of panel power
sequencing and signals when the panel is completely on or off. Instead
of blindly assuming the panel timings will work, poll the panel power
status register until it shows the correct values.

I've been seeing memory leaks on my system in the form of large
(300-400MB) GEM objects created by now-dead processes laying around
clogging up memory. I usually notice when it gets to about 1.2GB of
them. Hopefully this clears up the issue, but I just found this bug
by inspection.

Kernels with no iommu support cannot ever need the Ironlake
work-around, so never enable it in that case.
Might be better to completely remove the work-around from the kernel
in this case?
