| * gpio: Provide the STMPE GPIO driver with its own IRQ DomainLee Jones2012-12-101-31/+47
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The STMPE GPIO driver can be used as an IRQ controller by some related devices. Here we provide it with its very own IRQ Domain so that IRQs can be issued dynamically. This will stand the driver in good stead when it is enabled for Device Tree, as this it a prerequisite. | * gpio: add TS-5500 DIO blocks supportVivien Didelot2012-12-104-0/+502
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Technologic Systems TS-5500 provides digital I/O lines exposed through pin blocks. On this platform, there are three of them, named DIO1, DIO2 and LCD port, that may be used as a DIO block. The TS-5500 pin blocks are described in the product's wiki: http://wiki.embeddedarm.com/wiki/TS-5500#Digital_I.2FO This driver is not limited to the TS-5500 blocks. It can be extended to support similar boards pin blocks, such as on the TS-5600. This patch is the V2 of the previous https://lkml.org/lkml/2012/9/25/671 with corrections suggested by Linus Walleij. | * gpio: pcf857x: use client->irq for gpio_to_irq()Kuninori Morimoto2012-12-073-22/+12
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | 6e20a0a429bd4dc07d6de16d9c247270e04e4aa0 (gpio: pcf857x: enable gpio_to_irq() support) added gpio_to_irq() support on pcf857x driver, but it used pdata->irq. This patch modifies driver to use client->irq instead of it. It modifies kzm9g board platform settings, and device probe information too. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit dece904d (gpio: pl061: use chained_irq_* functions in irq handler) introduced chained_irq_enter/exit, which is only available for arch/arm and the driver won't compile elsewhere. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | SPEAr platform provides a provision to control chipselects of ARM PL022 Prime Cell spi controller through its system registers, which otherwise remains under PL022 control which some protocols do not want. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Following are changes done to fix the suspend/resume functionality of tegra gpio driver: - Protect suspend/resume callbacks with CONFIG_PM_SLEEP because CONFIG_PM doesn't actually enable any of the PM callbacks, it only allows to enable CONFIG_PM_SLEEP and CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME. | * GPIO: clps711x: use platform_device_unregister in gpio_clps711x_init()Wei Yongjun2012-10-271-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | platform_device_unregister() only calls platform_device_del() and platform_device_put(), thus use platform_device_unregister() to simplify the code. Also the documents in platform.c shows that platform_device_del and platform_device_put must _only_ be externally called in error cases. | * gpio/tc3589x: convert to use the simple irqdomainLinus Walleij2012-10-261-11/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The special checks for whether we have a base IRQ offset or not is surplus if we use the simple IRQ domain. The IRQ offset zero will be interpreted as a linear domain case. Plus this makes sure we allocate descriptors where need be, or warn if they are preallocated with SPARSE_IRQ. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The code in the em driver seems to want to try to do the job of the linear IRQ domain (allocate descriptors and grab a virtual range). So why not just use the linear IRQ domain? The code is now cut down so we don't need isolated functions for this. Also note that we use irq_create_mapping() to make sure descriptors are allocated for these IRQs. Also fixed the FIXME to remove the domain after use. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The MVEBU driver probably just wants a few IRQs. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Tegra driver tries to do the work of irq_domain_add_linear() by reserving a bunch of descriptors somewhere and keeping track of the base offset, then calling irq_domain_add_legacy(). Let's stop doing that and simply use the linear IRQ domain. For this to work: use irq_create_mapping() in the IRQ iterator so that the descriptors get allocated here. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The gpio_export function uses nested if statements and the status variable to handle the failure cases. This makes the function logic difficult to follow. Refactor the code to abort immediately on failure using goto. For INT33C6, several related quirks, capabilities and flags are set: MMC_CAP_NONREMOVABLE The SDIO card will never be removable SDHCI_ACPI_RUNTIME_PM Enable runtime-pm of the host controller MMC_CAP_POWER_OFF_CARD Enable runtime-pm of the SDIO card MMC_PM_KEEP_POWER SDIO card has the capability to remain powered up during system suspend SDHCI_QUIRK2_HOST_OFF_CARD_ON Always do a full reset during system resume because the card may be already initialized having not been powered off. Wake-ups from the INT33C6 host controller are not supported, so the following capability must *not* be set: MMC_PM_WAKE_SDIO_IRQ Enable wake on card interrupt Signed-off-by: Adrian Hunter <adrian.hunter@intel.com> Acked-by: Chris Ball <cjb@laptop.org> Signed-off-by: Rafael J. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When system enters power off, the _PSW of Lid device is enabled. But this may cause the system to reboot instead of power off. A proper way to fix this is to always disable lid wakeup capability for S5.
