Modify the Freescale Elo / Elo Plus DMA driver so that it can be compiled as
a module.
The primary change is to stop treating the DMA controller as a bus, and the
DMA channels as devices on the bus. This is because the Open Firmware (OF)
kernel code does not allow busses to be removed, so although we can call
of_platform_bus_probe() to probe the DMA channels, there is no
of_platform_bus_remove(). Instead, the DMA channels are manually probed,
similar to what fsl_elbc_nand.c does.

The Freescale Elo DMA driver runs an internal self-test before registering
the channels with the DMA engine. This self-test has a fundemental flaw in
that it calls the DMA engine's callback functions directly before the
registration. However, the registration initializes some variables that the
callback functions uses, namely the device struct.
The code works today because there are two device structs: the one created
by the DMA engine, and one created by the Open Firmware (OF) subsystem. The
self-test currently uses the device struct created by OF. However, in the
future, some of the device structs created by OF will be eliminated.
This means that the self-test will only have access to the device struct
created by the DMA engine. But this device struct isn't initialized when
the self-test runs, and this causes a kernel panic.
Since there is already a DMA test module (dmatest), the internal self-test
code is not useful anyway. It is extremely unlikely that the test will fail
in normal usage. It may have been helpful during development, but not any more.

Update the the dmatest driver so that it handles duplicate DMA channels
properly.
When a DMA client is notified of an available DMA channel, it must check if it
has already allocated resources for that channel. If so, it should return
DMA_DUP. This can happen, for example, if a DMA driver calls
dma_async_device_register() more than once.

This fixes Bug 11399:
if ibwdt_set_heartbeat(int t) is called with value 30 then
the check "if ((t < 0) || (t > 30))" in ibwdt_set_heartbeat
is not going to fail because t == 30, but in the loop, the
check wd_times[i] > t is never going to be true because
none of the wd_times are greater than the value of t (i.e. 30).
So we are exiting the loop with i == -1 and therefore setting
wd_margin to -1 which is wrong.

Commit 7c08c9ae0c145807c0dae4a55f240fa3d4fd5262 ("efifb/imacfb
consolidation + hardware support") claimed to remove imacfb entirely and
merge its DMI table into the efifb driver. So far so good, but the diff
actually ended up just generating an empty file instead of removing it.

Since the original authour (Thomas Kleffel) has been too busy to
merge the s3cmci driver and keep it up to date, I (mostly as part
of my role with Simtec Electronics) got the driver to a mergable
state and have been maintaining it since I think that I should
be added to the header. Also add a copyright statement for the
new work.

The s3cmci driver uses the host->pio_ptr field to
point to the current position into the buffer for data
transfer. During the transfers it does the following:
while (fifo_words--)
*(host->pio_ptr++) = readl(from_ptr);
This is inefficent, as host->pio_ptr is not used in any
other part of the transfer but the compiler emits code
which does the following:
while (fifo_words--) {
u32 *ptr = host->pio_ptr;
*ptr = readl(from_ptr);
ptr++;
host->pio_ptr = ptr;
}
This is obviously a waste of a load and store each time
around the loop, which could be up to 16 times depending
on how much needs to be transfered.
Move the ptr accesses to outside the while loop so that
we do not end up reloading/re-writing the pointer.
Note, this seems to make the code 16 bytes larger.

To be able to do SDIO the s3cmci driver has to support non-word-sized
transfers. Change pio_words into pio_bytes and fix up all the places
where it is used.
This variant of the patch will not overrun the buffer when reading an
odd number of bytes. When writing, this variant will still read past
the end of the buffer, but since the driver can't support non-word-
aligned transfers anyway, this should not be a problem, since a
word-aligned transfer will never cross a page boundary.
This has been tested with a CSR SDIO Bluetooth Type A device on a
Samsung S3C24A0 processor.

These battery managers came in two different packages: one for I2C
busses (BQ27200) and one for HDQ busses (BQ27000).
This driver currently supports only the I2C chip version but the code
is designed in order to easily allow the HDQ chip version integration.

Certain drivers benefit from knowing whether the system is on ac or
battery, for instance when determining which backlight registers to
read. This adds a simple call to determine whether there's an online
power supply other than any batteries.

The recent change in commit 2db873211ba47ef704c301f9ecf4a33413a0b649
forces the calls enable_irq_wake() and disable_irq_wake() to
be balanced. But if in pda_power_suspend() the call to
enable_irq_wake() fails (because attached gpio cannot wake
up the CPU), the corresponding disable_irq_wake will WARN().
Fix it by storing success/failure of enable_irq_wake().

During the reorganization some of the multi-theaded locking assumptions were
accidently relaxed. This patch moves us back towards a more conservative
locking strategy.

When we get an error on parsing a stat due to a protocol bug,
we can generate an oops during cleanup because we didn't
initialize the string pointers in the stat structure.

In v9fs_get_inode(), for block, as well as char devices (in theory),
the function init_special_inode() is called to set up callback functions
for file ops. this function uses the file mode's value to determine whether
to use block or char dev functions. In v9fs_inode_from_fid(), the function
p9mode2unixmode() is used, but for all devices it initially returns S_IFBLK,
then uses v9fs_get_inode() to initialise a new inode, then finally uses
v9fs_stat2inode(), which would determine whether the inode is a block or
character device. However, at that point init_special_inode() had already
decided to use the block device functions, so even if the inode's mode is
turned to a character device, the block functions are still used to operate
on them. The attached patch simply calls init_special_inode() again for devices
after parsing device node data in v9fs_stat2inode() so that the proper functions
are used.

Now that the new protocol functions are in place, this patch switches
the client code to using the new support code.

One of the current debug options allows users to get a verbose dump of fcalls.
This isn't really necessary as correctly parsed protocol frames can be printed
as part of the code in the client functions. The consolidated printfcalls
structure would require new entries to be added for every extension. This
patch removes the debug print methods and their use.

This adds a new protocol processing support code based on Anthony Liguori's
9p library code. This code performs protocol marshalling/unmarshalling using
printf like strings to represent protocol elements. It is my intent to use
them to replace the current functions in conv.c as well as the
p9_create_* functions.
This should make the client implementation much more clear, and also make it
much easier to add new protocol extensions by limiting the number of places
in which changes need to be made.

Alsmot all 9P client wire functions have their own (set of) functions.
Tversion is an exception as its encapsulated into the client_create code.
This patch moves the protocol specifics of this to a function to match the
rest of the code.

Currently reading a directory is implemented in the client code.
This function is not actually a wire operation, but a meta operation
which calls read operations and processes the results.
This patch moves this functionality to the fs layer and calls component
wire operations instead of constructing their packets. This provides a
cleaner separation and will help when we reorganize the client functions
and protocol processing methods.

Currently, the 9p net wire operation ensures that all data is sent by sending
multiple packets if the data requested is larger than the msize. This is
better handled in the vfs code so that we can simplify wire operations to
being concerned with only putting data onto and taking data off of the wire.

There are a couple of methods in the client code which aren't actually
wire operations. To keep things organized cleaner, these operations are
being moved to the fs layer.
This patch moves the readn meta-function (which executes multiple wire
reads until a buffer is full) to the fs layer.

Currently there are two separate versions of read and write. One for
dealing with user buffers and the other for dealing with kernel buffers.
There is a tremendous amount of code duplication in the otherwise
identical versions of these functions. This patch adds an additional
user buffer parameter to read and write and conditionalizes handling of
the buffer on whether the kernel buffer or the user buffer is populated.
