* net: introduce qemu_get_queue()Jason Wang2013-02-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | To support multiqueue, the patch introduce a helper qemu_get_queue() which is used to get the NetClientState of a device. The following patches would refactor this helper to support multiqueue. Signed-off-by: Jason Wang <jasowang@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
* Make all static TypeInfos constAndreas Färber2013-01-101-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since 39bffca2030950ef6efe57c2fac8327a45ae1015 (qdev: register all types natively through QEMU Object Model), TypeInfo as used in the common, non-iterative pattern is no longer amended with information and should therefore be const. Fix the documented QOM examples: sed -i 's/static TypeInfo/static const TypeInfo/g' include/qom/object.h Since frequently the wrong examples are being copied by contributors of new devices, fix all types in the tree: sed -i 's/^static TypeInfo/static const TypeInfo/g' */*.c sed -i 's/^static TypeInfo/static const TypeInfo/g' */*/*.c This also avoids to piggy-back these changes onto real functional changes or other refactorings. * net: reorganize headersPaolo Bonzini2012-12-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Move public headers to include/net, and leave private headers in net/. Put the virtio headers in include/net/tap.h, removing the multiple copies that existed. Leave include/net/tap.h as the interface for NICs, and net/tap_int.h as the interface for OS-specific parts of the tap backend. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>

* Rename target_phys_addr_t to hwaddrAvi Kivity2012-10-231-10/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | target_phys_addr_t is unwieldly, violates the C standard (_t suffixes are reserved) and its purpose doesn't match the name (most target_phys_addr_t addresses are not target specific). Replace it with a finger-friendly, standards conformant hwaddr. Outstanding patchsets can be fixed up with the command git rebase -i --exec 'find -name "*.[ch]" | xargs s/target_phys_addr_t/hwaddr/g' origin Signed-off-by: Avi Kivity <avi@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
* net: Rename qemu_del_vlan_client() to qemu_del_net_client()Stefan Hajnoczi2012-08-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Another step in moving the vlan feature out of net core. Users only deal with NetClientState and therefore qemu_del_vlan_client() should be named qemu_del_net_client(). * net: Rename VLANClientState to NetClientStateStefan Hajnoczi2012-08-011-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The vlan feature is no longer part of net core. Rename VLANClientState to NetClientState because net clients are not explicitly associated with a vlan at all, instead they have a peer net client to which they are connected. This patch is a mechanical search-and-replace except for a few whitespace fixups where changing VLANClientState to NetClientState misaligned whitespace. | | | | | | | | | | | These days one just needs to specify the romfile in PCiDeviceInfo and everything magically works. * qom: Unify type registrationAndreas Färber2012-02-151-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Replace device_init() with generalized type_init(). While at it, unify naming convention: type_init([$prefix_]register_types) Also, type_init() is a function, so add preceding blank line where necessary and don't put a semicolon after the closing brace. * qdev: register all types natively through QEMU Object ModelAnthony Liguori2012-02-031-8/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This was done in a mostly automated fashion. I did it in three steps and then rebased it into a single step which avoids repeatedly touching every file in the tree. The first step was a sed-based addition of the parent type to the subclass registration functions. The second step was another sed-based removal of subclass registration functions while also adding virtual functions from the base class into a class_init function as appropriate. Finally, a python script was used to convert the DeviceInfo structures and qdev_register_subclass functions to TypeInfo structures, class_init functions, and type_register_static calls. We are almost fully converted to QOM after this commit. Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>

* Add endianness as io mem parameterAlexander Graf2010-12-111-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | As stated before, devices can be little, big or native endian. The target endianness is not of their concern, so we need to push things down a level. This patch adds a parameter to cpu_register_io_memory that allows a device to choose its endianness. For now, all devices simply choose native endian, because that's the same behavior as before.
