* introduce a new monitor command 'dump-guest-memory' to dump guest's memoryWen Congyang2012-06-041-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The command's usage: dump-guest-memory [-p] protocol [begin] [length] The supported protocol can be file or fd: 1. file: the protocol starts with "file:", and the following string is the file's path. 2. fd: the protocol starts with "fd:", and the following string is the fd's name. Note: 1. If you want to use gdb to process the core, please specify -p option. The reason why the -p option is not default is: a. guest machine in a catastrophic state can have corrupted memory, which we cannot trust. b. The guest machine can be in read-mode even if paging is enabled. For example: the guest machine uses ACPI to sleep, and ACPI sleep state goes in real-mode. 2. If you don't want to dump all guest's memory, please specify the start physical address and the length. * elf.h: Update EF_ARM_ constants to newer ABI versionsPeter Maydell2012-04-061-0/+21
| | | | | | | | | | Update the EF_ARM_* constants (for the ELF header e_flags field) to include the newer flags specified for later versions of the ABI. (This set of constants is from include/elf/arm.h from binutils-2.17 and so licensed under GPL-v2-or-later.) * tcg: Use the GDB JIT debugging interface.Richard Henderson2012-03-241-0/+1
| | | | | | | | This allows us to generate unwind info for the dynamicly generated code in the code_gen_buffer. Only i386 is converted at this point. Signed-off-by: Richard Henderson <rth@twiddle.net> Signed-off-by: Blue Swirl <blauwirbel@gmail.com>

* microblaze: Update elf machine nums.Edgar E. Iglesias2010-05-191-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | 189 was allocated in upstream binutils. 0xbaab was the old temporary value. Still used by some tools and the linux kernel. I've seen 115 in older gdb versions, but lets ignore that one. Signed-off-by: Edgar E. Iglesias <edgar.iglesias@gmail.com>
* tcg-i386: Implement small forward branches.Richard Henderson2010-02-061-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | There are places, like brcond2, where we know that the destination of a forward branch will be within 127 bytes. Add the R_386_PC8 relocation type to support this. Add a flag to tcg_out_jxx and tcg_out_brcond* to enable it. Set the flag in the brcond2 label_next branches; pass along the input flag otherwise. * linux-user: implemented ELF coredump support for ARM targetMika Westerberg2009-06-161-1/+18
| | | | | | | | | | | | When target process is killed with signal (such signal that should dump core) a coredump file is created. This file is similar than coredump generated by Linux (there are few exceptions though).
