* qtest: add clock managementPaolo Bonzini2012-03-301-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | This patch combines qtest and -icount together to turn the vm_clock into a source that can be fully managed by the client. To this end new commands clock_step and clock_set are added. Hooking them with libqtest is left as an exercise to the reader. * Simplify cpu_exec_all to tcg_exec_allJan Kiszka2011-11-011-1/+0
| | | | | | | | After the removal of the non-threaded mode cpu_exec_all is now only used by TCG. Refactor it accordingly, also dropping its unused return value. Signed-off-by: Jan Kiszka <jan.kiszka@siemens.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>

* Move vm_state_notify() prototype from cpus.h to sysemu.hLuiz Capitulino2011-09-151-1/+0

* Command line support for altering the log file locationMatthew Fernandez2011-06-151-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Add command line support for logging to a location other than /tmp/qemu.log. With logging enabled (command line option -d), the log is written to the hard-coded path /tmp/qemu.log. This patch adds support for writing the log to a different location by passing the -D option. * Refactor debug and vmstop request interfaceJan Kiszka2011-02-141-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | Instead of fiddling with debug_requested and vmstop_requested directly, introduce qemu_system_debug_request and turn qemu_system_vmstop_request into a public interface. This aligns those services with exiting ones in vl.c. Signed-off-by: Jan Kiszka <jan.kiszka@siemens.com> Signed-off-by: Marcelo Tosatti <mtosatti@redhat.com>
* Stop current VCPU on synchronous reset requestsJan Kiszka2011-02-141-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If some I/O operation ends up calling qemu_system_reset_request in VCPU context, we record this and inform the io-thread, but we do not terminate the VCPU loop. This can lead to fairly unexpected behavior if the triggering reset operation is supposed to work synchronously. Fix this for TCG (when run in deterministic I/O mode) by setting the VCPU on stop and issuing a cpu_exit. KVM requires some more work on its VCPU loop.
