* Add missing SUMMARY valuesPaul Eggleton2014-01-021-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | These recipes all had a long DESCRIPTION but no SUMMARY; since the SUMMARY is often displayed alone by package managers and the default value ("${PN} version ${PV}") isn't particularly useful, we should always try to set SUMMARY. * python: bump PR of packages after update of distutils.bbclassAndreas Oberritter2012-05-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | * Bump every recipe inheriting distutils or setuptools and not overriding do_install without calling distutils_do_install. * OECore license fixes: meta/*Elizabeth Flanagan2011-12-081-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a quick audit of only the most obviously wrong licenses found within OECore. These fixes fall into four areas: - LICENSE field had incorrect format so that the parser choked - LICENSE field has a license with no version - LICENSE field was actually incorrect - LICENSE field has an imaginary license that didn't exist This fixes most of the LICENSE warnings thrown, along with my prior commit adding additional licenses to common-licenses and additional SPDXLICENSEMAP entries. HOWEVER..... there is much to be done on the license front. For a list of recipes with licenses that need obvious fixing see: https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/License_Audit That said, I would suggest another license audit as I've found enough inconsistencies. A good suggestion is when in doubt, look at how openSuse or Gentoo or Debian license the package. * Drop PRIORITY variableRichard Purdie2011-07-011-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As discussed on the mailing list, this variable isn't useful and if wanted would be better implemented by distros using pn-X overrides. This patch executes: find . -regex ".*\.\(bb\|inc\)$" | xargs sed -i '/^PRIORITY = ".*"$/d' against the tree removing the referenced. Thanks to Phil Blundell for the command. * License Field Cleanup: Non-standard field namesBeth Flanagan2011-05-271-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | I've cleaned up some odd license fields, fixed some license names and corrected some incorrect licenses. LICENSE really needs a pass through by the maintainers as some of the licensing is incorrect. Also, every license with Artistic should be gone through and noted as which version of Artistic. * Major layout change to the packages directoryRichard Purdie2010-08-271-0/+16
Having one monolithic packages directory makes it hard to find things and is generally overwhelming. This commit splits it into several logical sections roughly based on function, recipes.txt gives more information about the classifications used. The opportunity is also used to switch from "packages" to "recipes" as used in OpenEmbedded as the term "packages" can be confusing to people and has many different meanings. Not all recipes have been classified yet, this is just a first pass at separating things out. Some packages are moved to meta-extras as they're no longer actively used or maintained.
