From 753cf540b9dcb31a51df98173e5a02b3840b7d98 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: alex Date: Mon, 31 Jul 2000 09:22:50 +0000 Subject: Reflect reality: - Make world doesn't build the modules any more. - Mention the buildkernel/installkernel targets as common used targets. - LINT has gone, NOTES is new but cannot be built. It is a pure reference file. However, I still mentioned LINT but pointed out the difference between the ancient LINT and the new NOTES. This should avoid confusion. - crypto/ subdir isn't export controlled any more. --- README | 14 ++++++++------ 1 file changed, 8 insertions(+), 6 deletions(-) diff --git a/README b/README index 2801b27..cc770f9 100644 --- a/README +++ b/README @@ -11,7 +11,9 @@ The Makefile in this directory supports a number of targets for building components (or all) of the FreeBSD source tree, the most commonly used one being ``world'', which rebuilds and installs everything in the FreeBSD system from the source tree except the -kernel and the contents of /etc. Please see the top of the Makefile +kernel, the kernel-modules and the contents of /etc. The +``buildkernel'' and ``installkernel'' targets build and install +the kernel and the modules.
